Know Your Rights
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have been ramping up their activities, including recent plans to target the Bay Area. To support our community, we have both red cards (aka Know Your Rights cards) and yellow cards (listing Bay Area Rapid Response Networks) available in the reception area. Feel free to grab one (or more!) and familiarize yourself with your rights and what to do if you encounter ICE. We’ve also gathered links to local resources:

Food Support
With the federal government shutdown, CalFresh / SNAP food benefits (along with many others) are unavailable to those who need them. California is working to allocate funding to support those in need but, in the interim, here are links to local food pantries:

We encourage all who are able to donate funds to these local organizations (instead of donating food). There are a number of rules around what sorts of food can be donated, whereas funds can provide incredible purchasing power—every $1 can buy MULTIPLE meals. The links above lead to pages with both food resources and donation buttons.​
Cancer Support

Charlotte Maxwell Clinic in Oakland and San Francisco provides free acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Western herbs, massage, therapeutic imagery, and many other services to low-income women with cancer.

Women’s Cancer Resource Center works to empower and support women with cancer through referrals and education, a resource library, workshops and classes, support groups, peer counseling and other services.
