About Sarana Community Acupuncture

Sarana Community Acupuncture is a mission-driven 501(c)3 non-profit that provides widely-accessible, affordable acupuncture in a place of rest and refuge. Sarana is run cooperatively by a Management Collaborative, has been open since 2008, and currently has 5 staff acupuncturists. Our spacious, inviting clinic is located in Albany, CA (in the East Bay), along a major bus line and close to both the freeway and BART.

We treat a high volume of patients with diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Acupuncturists generally treat 4-6 patients per hour, allowing us to charge low sliding scale fees ($30-60 per treatment). Within our sliding scale range, patients determine what they wish to pay, with no income verification needed.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for enthusiastic and community-minded acupuncturists to join our team with 1-2 regular weekly shifts to start, and willingness to cover other shifts as needed. Newly-hired acupuncturists have the potential to expand up to 3 regular weekly shifts. Our ideal candidate would also be interested in becoming part of our cooperative management team (after 3-6 months).
