Class will begin with a brief discussion of Tibetan Buddhist meditation followed by a gentle movement practice to prepare the body to meditate. All levels welcome. Sunday, July 16 MIND BODY CENTER 8:00am - 8:50am Pilates Mat – Becky Thomas An array of exercises designed to create pelvic stabilization and abdominal control. The goal of the class is to increase joint mobility, strengthen the limbs and increase “core” stability. All levels welcome. 9:00am – 10:00am Vinyasa Yoga Basics – Odisa Walker Learn the basics of Vinyasa Yoga. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend, but some degree of physical fitness is expected. 10:15am – 11:15am Advanced Vinyasa Yoga – Odisa Walker This fun, sweaty, empowering practice emphasizes coordination of breath with movement to flow from one pose to the next. Vigorous and rewarding, this class will safely and effectively help you to challenge the limits of both body and mind. 11:30 – 1:00pm Yoga for Low Back Health – Carrie Adams Pain in the lower back is as common as it is difficult to treat. In this 90 minute workshop, learn tried & true ways to decrease pain in your lower back and tools to prevent future pain and injury. This workshops is recommended for people with chronic back pain or those with healthy backs looking to take preventative measures, but may not be appropriate for those with acute or recent injuries to the back or spine. GRACE'S POOL 10:30am – 11:15am Aqua Tai Chi – Celia Ihne This gentle form of Tai Chi is based on the Sun style and is composed of a series of graceful, fluid moves performed with concentration and inner stillness. This form is a simple one to learn and expand upon, may be practiced anywhere and can be enjoyed by people of all ages to encourage better health and a complete workout for body, mind and spirit. PILATES STUDIO Pilates Reformer Sessions (20 minute sessions, 4 people max/session), Intro sessions with Becky Thomas. Please pick-up a ticket from the Welcome Desk. Session 1 10am – 10:20am Session 2 10:25am – 10:45am Session 3 10:50am – 11:10am Session 4 11:15am – 11:35am Classes and workshops are drop-in.
